It is refreshing to join a firm whose first priority is thoughtful and objective investment research. Vertical already boasts the finest collection of Capital Goods and Basic Materials analysts around, and I am excited to represent its initial step into Transportation, Travel & Leisure research.
Darryl Genovesi is a Principal covering the Airlines industry at Vertical Research Partners.
Investors know Darryl as an expert in airline revenue forecasting and supply-demand analysis. They have consistently recognized him as a top analyst in his space through their participation in Institutional Investor’s annual All America Research Team surveys, including most recently #4 in the 2016-18 U.S. II surveys, while Thomson-Starmine has consistently recognized Darryl as a top stock-picker and earnings-estimator among his peers.
Prior to joining Vertical, Darryl spent 10 years at UBS where he led U.S. Airlines research. Darryl began his career as an aircraft design engineer at Lockheed Martin's famed Skunk Works R&D center before completing his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and then eventually transitioning to investment finance as an associate analyst on UBS's Aerospace & Defense team. Darryl holds BS and MS degrees from Penn State University in Aerospace Engineering, Computational Fluid Dynamics and High-performance Computing Applications.
